Meet Joel

In 2018, the State Bar of Nevada introduced a rigorous certification process for attorneys to become recognized specialists in the field of workers' compensation. The criteria were stringent, reflecting the complexity and importance of the specialization.

With over 30 years of experience in workers' compensation law, Attorney Joel A. Santos was among the select few in Nevada to pursue this specialization in 2018. Attorney Santos successfully met all the requirements, starting with passing a written examination in Carson City, Nevada. He then advanced to an oral examination in Reno, Nevada, where he was thoroughly tested by experts appointed by the State Bar from both Reno and Las Vegas on his extensive knowledge of workers' compensation and industrial injuries. Attorney Santos passed the oral exam with distinction, leading the State Bar of Nevada, through the Nevada Justice Association, to officially designate him as a specialist in Nevada workers' compensation.

Attorney Santos is deeply committed to his practice, ensuring a personalized approach by personally meeting with each client and handling all stages of litigation himself. He firmly believes that clients deserve consistent and direct interaction with their attorneys throughout the entire legal process.

Beyond his legal career, Attorney Santos is also an accomplished boxing referee for USA Boxing, having officiated at numerous events, including the 2016 United States Road to Rio Olympic tryouts.
